Vaasa City / Finland

In the sunniest city of Finland you find 400 years of history and every fifth person you meet is a student.

In Vaasa, they speak two languages. Swedish and Finnish. And they are actually very different. So in Vaasa they say ‘everything good we have two of; one Swedish version and one Finnish’. The 13.000 students in town love it. As the biggest student town in Finland per capita, Vaasa has everything a curious mind can desire – in every age group.

FREYR is preparing to invest in a battery cell manufacturing plant in Vaasa. The goal is to start production in 2025. The investment decision is being prepared for the end of 2022, which will be followed by recruiting and construction. If you have a curious mind that can be inspired by one of the oldest towns along the coast of the Baltic Sea, then let us know. We will keep you informed of our progress.
