FREYR Battery is on a mission to decarbonize energy and transportation systems globally by producing the world’s most sustainable battery cells. About 75% of all carbon mitigation is dependent on batteries. The industry is facing exponential growth.

We will soon be opening the doors to our Customer Qualification Plant, an industrial-scale lithium-ion battery cell factory based on 24M technology, in Norway. 24M technology represents a massive breakthrough in manufacturing technology producing batteries perfectly suited to the exploding stationary storage market.

We are moving fast to build 24M-based gigafactories in the US and Norway with an investment frame of about $2 billion each. We are also going to build gigafactories in Finland, though based on different technology better suited, at this stage, to the car battery market.

Our stated ambition at this point is to build 200 GWh of capacity, i.e. about 7 such gigafactories, with a total turnover in the region of $15 billion.

The initial site is in Atlanta GA. You can live anywhere in the US and work remotely, traveling when needed.

We are now hiring a Principal Automation and Process Control Engineer to transfer knowledge and learnings from Giga Arctic, PLE Vendors, and Project Teams to make the best decisions for Giga America.

Transferring knowledge and best practices from other FREYR projects to Giga America

Your hardest tasks include:
Working with 24M and Project Teams to develop the Process Control, Digitization, and Automation Strategy in the Project Design

We are looking for the following qualifications:
Minimum a bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
Demonstrated development of Process Technology in the Manufacturing Industry
7+ Years in Manufacturing Plant Process Control and Automation
Deployed new Process Control and/or Automation Applications (From Design to FAT to Deployment
