Driving the green transformation by managing compliance issues
FREYR Battery is on a mission to decarbonize energy and transportation systems globally by producing the world’s most sustainable battery cells. About 75% of all carbon mitigation is dependent on batteries. The industry is facing exponential growth.
We will soon be opening the doors to our Customer Qualification Plant – the first industrial scale lithium-ion battery cell manufacturing facility in Norway- in Mo i Rana. Here we will validate and improve technology, materials and cell designs as we prepare for commercial production at our Gigafactories.
We are moving quickly to build our first gigafactory 'Giga Arctic', also in Mo i Rana, with a capacity of 29 GWh, giving a turnover of over 20 billion NOK. This will be followed by other such factories around the world, building towards an initial capacity of 100 GWh, positioning FREYR as one of Europe’s largest battery cell suppliers.
