We are looking for people who want to help run the first battery cell factories in Norway. We plan to build 43GWh capacity over the next 4 years and take the global no.1 positions in both cost and CO2 footprint. The first factory should produce our first battery cells in 2022.
We are looking for an Automation Engineer to work in the casting and unit cell assembly area of our production line at our plants in Mo i Rana, Norway.
As an automation engineer at FREYR, we are looking for you who preferably have a master's degree in battery technology, electrochemistry, production or other relevant fields in addition to 3 years of experience from a lithium battery production / technology environment as an operator or technician. Experience from maintaining machinery and manufacturing documentation will be advantageous.
At FREYR, we value good and clear communication, and since we are several different nationalities, you must have good English skills, both written and oral.
Your working day will consist of ensuring stable, high-quality production in the casting and unit cell assembly line, which is one of the core processes in our production process. A central part of your tasks will also be to build a good understanding of how the electrochemical properties are affected through the casting process in order to control it as best as possible. You will actively operate, maintain and optimize the production equipment and process in C & UCA to ensure the highest possible yield and participate actively in production improvements, product development, modification work to further develop our products, profitability and the next generation production process.
You will be part of a team with broad expertise in various fields where you work towards achieving different production, safety and quality goals and undergo improvement processes so that together you can ensure optimal operation. In this way, we will create history together.
The factory will be operated through a shift scheme and you will therefore have to anticipate some shift work.
